Description
Non-local maintenance and diagnostic activities are those activities conducted by individuals communicating through a network, either an external network (e.g., the Internet) or an internal network, in order to conduct system diagnostics. For traceability of maintenance, logging events associated with a non-local administrative access or diagnostic session must be performed. Permanent not a finding - Auditing cannot be configured/implemented like a typical UNIX system. Auditing is turned on by default, as is logging. Syslog is the best way to ensure all access is logged. Access is limited to privileged roles only. In lockdown mode (required), only the vpxuser proxy has access.
